#10 Par 4 - 390, 360, 325 & 275...Northern Exposure
Seventy-five yard wide fairway will give many first timers the wrong impression on this straightaway par 4. The smart play is to work the tee shot to the lower left side of the fairway to get the best angle and view of this angled narrow green. The right offers a bigger fairway but a hidden view of the green and a tough angle to attack. The centerline bunker is the largest on the course and is a worthy opponent for those that hit into it and a visual distraction for others. Long won't kill you...it just might mess up a good score.

#11 Par 3 - 195, 165, 135 & 115...Half Redan
This downhill down wind par 3 gives the player many options. The huge down slope on the front of the green can be friend or foe. The bunkers left look brutal and are, but they can save the player from something worse...like a lost ball. A nice tee shot which lands just in front of the green should feed towards the center area with a nice putt to any pin location.

#12 Par 5 - 535, 500, 465 & 420...Ant Hill
This slight dogleg right uphill hole has six bunkers, some can hurt you and some will help. The tee shot plays out of the trees into an open area. Most drives will have a second shot with an uphill lie to launch it to this upper fairway. The large transformer on the distant hill is more or less the target. A left fore bunker should be avoided...unless you are good at a 60 yards bunker shot. This fairway was not shaped at all, everything natural. This green will keep you thinking with the rolling nature.

#13 Par 5 - 575, 495, 470 & 400...Carla's Madrone
If you think this hole is easy...you can really play. This roller coaster par five covers a lot of ground. The green is visible from the tees, but not everywhere in the fairway, with the down and up elevations. The tee shot is probably the most difficult on the course. The back tee is only for the strongest and best players. Into the summer wind, a par here is very good

#14 Par 3 - 190, 180, 155 & 145...The Drop
This par 3 will play short because of the big drop in elevation. The tee offers some of the best views to the bottomlands, the coast range to the east and other areas of the course. If the summer wind is blowing from the north, start your tee shot left as the wind can really fool you big time. The pond is not hard against the green but if you catch and ride the wind it plays much closer. This green has many different pin locations and undulations that really change the way the hole plays.

#15 Par 4 355, 335, 310 & 260...Corral
This slight dogleg right gives you plenty of room to avoid plenty of trouble. A tee shot past the center bunker, and near the left fairway bunkers gives you the best angle to most of the pin locations...not all, but most. Make sure you get it on the same side of the green, as the big dividing slope will test your wits and skill. If you haven't made a birdie yet this is the time to start looking.

#16 Par 4 325, 315, 300 & 215...Deceit
Brains before brawn on this little par four. Hit a nice high draw just over 300 yards and you may have an eagle putt. If you don't pull it off, par may be real hard. The green is the smallest on the course and the bunkering some of the toughest. The smart player will hit it about 200 yards near the right fairway bunkers to gain the best angle. Long hitting ladies have a chance to drive this little gem too. Once again...long is gone

#17 Par 3 170/145, 130, 110 & 60...Snag
This par 3 plays over one of the properties old ponds. It has the widest green with 3 distinct areas but distance control is even more important. The summer winds make this shortest hole play a lot longer, and don't be surprised to see many good looking shot come up short. A left hand pin will test your skill to place your shot between bunkers long and short. Oh yes, make sure you hit it high enough to clear the Cedar snag.

#18 Par 5 570, 545, 495 & 410...Sunset
The strategy for this dogleg right 5 par changes with the quality of the tee shot. Hit a nice long drive and fire your second shot over the natural ravine, with lots of roll. From there face a short downhill shot to the green. Hit a weak drive an you'll have to lay-up and have a very long third. Any shots hit from short of the ravine can be played just left of the bunker on the right to feed into this subtle green. There is a 3 happy bunker on the left and behind this green that you will be happy you are in. But beyond the back bunker...like I said many times...long is gone.
