Some land is made for golf. Bandon, Oregon is one of those places. Built on ancient dand dunes, Bandon Crossings has great drainage and undulations that make for an interesting course. The 340-acre parcel that makes up Bandon Crossings is very diverse.  During a round of golf, you will encounter open grasslands, cross over ravines and valleys, and wind through forests full of Douglas Firs and beautiful red barked madrones.

The Northern section of the golf course (holes 1-5 and 15-18), makes the most of the old ranch grasslands used for raising cattle, sheep, and pigs.  Some remnants of the old ranch can still be found throughout the golf course. Holes 5 and 14 greens are located in a valley that was carved out by South Two Mile and Lower Two Mile Creeks.  The Southern section of the golf course (holes 6-13) contains holes that were discovered in dense forest.  Much of the South side was cleared out in the 1970's, to add to the cattle grazing area.  A smaller section (holes 8-12) was cleared during golf course construction.

The soil at Bandon Crossings consists mostly of sandy loam, which along with good drainage creates a very playable golf course year round.  Native sand was found on site to construct everything from greens to bunkers.  The golf course was designed perfectly with nature and by nature for golfers of every level to enjoy!!
